Betwixtmas is upon us once again. Betwixtmas, defined as the strange week between Christmas and New Year, defies any further classification. Here is where time ceases to be linear. Is it Friday or Tuesday? Friday?! Is it really? Doesn’t matter if it is. The rules no longer apply. The events of the year fall to loose ends whether we want them to or not and the irrepressible optimism of the new year begins to build—even if we know that ‘New Year, New Me’ isn’t really a thing unless you actually make some changes. Family obligations have wound down and the wrapping paper is put away. Time stretches before us—malleable and undefinable. Welcome to Betwixtmas.
